One of the unique things that he does, from a motivational speaking point of view, is that he utilizes some martial arts during his talks to illustrate some key points in achieving life success.

Clint Cora Will Not Compete In Martial Arts This Year
March 4th, 2010Martial arts world champion and former member of the Canadian National Karate Team Clint Cora will not be competing in martial arts this year. The newly formed WKC will be having their world event in Portugal this year and Clint says, “I don’t feel like going to Europe for competition this year”.
“I may go back to NASKA for 2011 and also see where WKC will have their event in 2011. These days, the location of events is just as important for me as the actual competition. I’ve competed for so many years and in order for me to come out again, I want to mix in some good sight seeing. So it has to be a place I really want to go”
In the meantime, Clint is busy with his new career as a motivational speaker and author having just launched a series of longer personal development self improvement seminars.

Toastmasters and Martial Arts
February 24th, 2010I have used martial arts during my speeches at Toastmasters before and considering doing it again for a possible speech contest. This time, I’m considering on bringing out a Samurai sword for the speech. I just have to place it in the right part as well as choreograph it with the words.
Martial Arts In Hotel Rooms
February 23rd, 2010One of the things I like about martial arts is that I could do my forms in my hotel rooms during business travel. Actually, I should qualify that statement. I can do my Japanese karate forms quite easily with the standard sized hotel rooms but usually don’t have enough room for my Chinese forms unless I perform them with much less travel compared to how they are suppose to be done. Chinese forms, at least mine, cover much more distance than Japanese forms.
As for martial arts weapons training inside a hotel room, I usually don’t have much luck, particularly for longer weapons like a bo staff. I’ve chosen to go outside in the parking lot to train bo staff.
But overall, doing martial arts during travel isn’t a problem because I can still do my Japanese forms with full power even inside my hotel room.
