WOMAA World Martial Arts Championships a Go!

Monday, December 18th, 2006

I got an e-mail from Bruce Smith, president of WOMAA (World Organization of Martial Arts Athletes) over the weekend and he says that the world championships in Ireland for April is a go. There are 15 countries registered so far. This is good news as I am definitely going. The 2006 event originally scheduled in Costa Rica was unfortunately cancelled.

Martial Arts Karate Video

Saturday, December 16th, 2006

The favorite martial arts karate video at Free Spirit Activewear is definitely the karate bo staff weapons one featuring Clint Leung with his bo form. Other martial arts karate videos can be seen at the site as well as martial arts t-shirts.

Martial Arts T-Shirts Can Be FedExed In Time For X-Mas

Friday, December 8th, 2006

As we are getting closer to X-Mas, the normal delivery services that we use for shipping the martial arts t-shirts through Free Spirit Activewear may not be fast enough to get them to customers in time for the holiday season. However, we can use FedEx at a higher shipping cost to ensure faster delivery that will get items to customers in time. One customer opted for this option the other day to get a shirt in time for Hanukkah. To see what is available, see martial arts t-shirts

Another Season Ends for NASKA KArate Circuit

Wednesday, December 6th, 2006

Another season ends for the NASKA (North American Sport Karate Association) circuit. I stopped competing in the summer. It was generally agreed that there were too many events on the world circuit this year and to make things worse, it looks like there might be even more next year with the addition of Chicago’s AKA tournament at the end of January. I think there are 14 events which all will count towards world titles. This is just too many and will be cost prohibitive for many karate competitors. I’m personally not that keen on competing in the NASKA circuit anymore as I already have my sights on the WOMAA world event in Ireland for April. It should be interesting to see how the continuing expansions of the NASKA circuit will affect competition next year.

For karate information, see Martial Arts Articles. Also see Karate Clothing for nice activewear.
