I drove to Levis (south of Quebec City) today to compete in the Quebec provincial tryouts for the WKA Canadian karate team. I managed to win all three of my divisions (soft style forms, 35+ forms and 35+ weapons). The next step will be the Canadian Nationals in Ottawa in May. The WKA world championships was just announced this week and it will be in August in Germany. I should have more details soon.
Meanwhile, I’m still planning my trip to Ireland for April for the WOMAA World Championships. I have to admit that it’s quite tough to get into the martial arts competition mode when it’s still ski season up here in Canada.
